Description
Bill Mitchell was head of Design at General Motors from 1959 through 1977. During his career, he created the design for over 72.5 million automobiles produced by GM, including the 1963 Corvette Stingray and the 1970 Chevy Camaro.
Mitchell was a strong believer in the benefits of building 'dream' or 'concept cars.' He established the GM Advance Design Center, and gave his designers a great deal of creative freedom in their work. This 1976 Corvette, also known as 'The Great White,' is a one-of-a-kind, high-performance styling exercise built expressly for Mitchell.
